Pediatric Behavioral Health Murals

Adding an artistic touch to give young patients a peaceful, easy feeling.

Whether real or expressed through art, trees have a magical way of creating peace and calmness. This was the inspiration behind the murals installed in the pediatric behavioral health playroom and the waiting area at Parkland Health’s C.V. Roman Health Center. The trees are a welcome sight to anxious young patients, and represent another way therapists and other staff can integrate behavioral health and trauma informed care into pediatric primary care services.

These beautiful murals were made possible through financial contributions supporting pediatric behavioral health services across the Parkland Health System. In addition to the important work being done at the C.V. Roman Health Center, pediatric behavioral services are available at all other Parkland Pediatric Clinic locations, helping us increase access to care to every Dallas child in need.
