Meet Nicole, our Virtual Engagement Officer (VEO). Powered by artificial intelligence through our partners at Version2.ai and Givzey, our AI fundraiser is the first of its kind and has been developed to help Parkland Health Foundation accelerate Parkland Health’s efforts to provide life-saving care, support patients and their families, and advance community health initiatives.
VEOs are autonomous fundraisers that engage with donors, supporters, employees and constituents to build trust and learn more about them and their giving intentions. The technology was launched in 2024, and Parkland Health Foundation was among the first nonprofits in the world to participate. By leveraging AI, Nicole personalizes her interactions to drive giving, steward donors, provide impact updates and provide automated, ongoing engagement. The technology reaches beyond traditional mass marketing approaches like emails and letters to create real relationships.

Within a few short weeks of her launch in the fall of 2024, Nicole began securing gifts. She has now raised more than $80,000 from 373 gifts. She has sent more than 2,400 emails, engaged with lapsed donors, collected positive donor testimonials and even solicited and received a major gift.
