But in the private, welcoming space provided by Parkland’s mobile unit, Jasmine found something she didn’t anticipate — comfort, understanding, and a team dedicated to helping her make informed choices about her health.

Even as a walk-in patient, the nurse guided her into a private, soundproof room on the mobile unit, offering a safe space to share her anxieties and concerns.

The Parkland doctor took the time to explain the importance of cervical cancer screening, STI education, and the many birth control options available to her.

Instead of feeling overwhelmed, she felt excited to learn about what was best for her body and her future.

“I didn’t realize I had so many options,” she said with relief.
