Over the past 54 years, Junior Charity League (JCL) has raised $3 million for Parkland’s Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Unit. The organization started in 1960, and its first president, Peggy Hanley, was a physical therapist at Parkland Health.
JCL’s mission is to provide the necessary equipment to help rehab patients recover and be able to have the equipment they need to continue recovering at home.
In 1970, JCL began hosting its Spring Benefit Luncheon to raise funds for Parkland Health. The event has grown over the years, and this year, attendees helped raise more than $112,000 for Parkland’s Physical Medicine & Rehab Unit.
Parkland Health Foundation is grateful for the support of JCL and its members.
