If there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s that this community deeply values its children.

Everywhere I look, I see examples of the way Dallas County neighbors like you are working to safeguard our children, nurture their development, and equip them for successful, healthy futures.

In our community and across the nation, adolescents are disproportionately at risk for suicide ideation right now, and we know that other emotional health challenges have long-standing implications for a child’s ability to persist through school, graduate from high school or further their education.

With that understanding in mind and your steadfast partnership on our side, Parkland Health Foundation has been instrumental in securing significant philanthropic investment dollars to expand the hospital’s pediatric behavioral health services across our community health centers.

Ultimately, our aim is to normalize pediatric behavioral health services, bridge the artificial gap between physical health providers and behavioral health providers, and create a seamless navigation pathway for families seeking care. You are making this possible, and in doing so, truly creating a healthier, brighter future for every child.
