Amazon donates $100,000 to Parkland Health Foundation in honor of 40 years of philanthropic impact
Parkland Health Foundation is honored to announce a $100,000 donation from Amazon in celebration of the Foundation’s 40th anniversary. 
This generous contribution will expand access to breast health screenings and diagnostic services for patients across Dallas County, directly supporting the Foundation’s role in securing philanthropic support that helps advance the care provided throughout Parkland Health and ensures more individuals receive the services they need, regardless of their circumstances.
Established in 1986, Parkland Health Foundation has spent four decades mobilizing community support to improve access, compassion, and innovation within Dallas County’s public health system. Amazon’s investment continues this legacy, enabling more than 550 women to receive potentially life-saving breast cancer screenings and diagnostic care over the next year.
“Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women in our region, and early detection is critical to saving lives,” said Michael Horne, EdD, President and CEO of Parkland Health Foundation. “We are deeply grateful to Amazon for their commitment to the health of our community. This funding helps eliminate barriers to care, ensuring that more women — regardless of their financial circumstances — can access the screenings and follow-up services they need.”
